| It is important that every aspect of an election be reformed to include transparency into not only ballot creation, but also each and every mechanism used to count those ballot instruments. In 2006, many states had no ability to verify or recount votes in close calls. | ||
| In fact in many cities across this nation, voters were stuned to hear those claims by some candidates of winning when exit polls reported completely opposite voter opinions. At a Senate hearing after 2004's elections, a NASA programmer confirmed fraudulent vote counts and reinforced that exit polls and polling counts should be extremely close in results. | ||
| In one state (Maryland specifically), Leon Harris of WJLA-TV (Channel 7 News) reported at 10:55 pm that incumbent Governor Robert Erhlich had 67 percent of exit polls in 2/3rds of precincts counted. Thirty seconds later, stating that with 1.3 percent of polls closed, four Democrat candidates: Martin O'Malley, governor; Anthony G. Brown, lt. governor; Ben Cardin, U.S. Senate; and Peter Franchot, comptroller; declared victory and when asked, announced that votes didn't count. Next morning, 34 year figures regardless of perceived high or low voter turn-out, reported that Democrats had 824,000 vote vs. Republicans with 685,000 plus absentee ballots cast wouldn't overcome their win. | ||
| No record included number of votes cast or preference by individual votes cast. For example: In my last four elections I requested absentee ballots be sent to me before I left to work overseas. Within a day of request they arrived. Every year I received a Democrat ballot even though I was on the Republican ballot as a candidate. Indicating fraud, I started researching that to learn about how rampant it is across our nation. | ||
| Imperative that "We The People" make sure all votes are counted and recounted to "Trust but Verify" initial counts accurately assuring our choice and not an incumbent network of politico-bureaucrats making that decision for us. | ||
| There is no National ballot for elections of President and Vice President, but maybe there should be a paper vote in 2008 to assure preprogrammed projections don't determine our future government based upon elitist rule. It was the Clintons in 1998 that let a contract for questionable programming in preparation for a 2004 Hillary win that didn't happen as a result of a Reuters report in a video piece that 10,000 ballots weren't ready until Thursday - two days late - for a Florida fix for Al Gore in 2000 (Reuter's satellite report viewed in Brisbane, Australia, 01/14/2001) and a strong Bush win over Kerry verified on paper in Ohio. | ||
| More than ten teams contributed to building an operating system not knowing specifications allowed for choice preferences could be programmed similar to slot machine percentages of return output to actual input. This included altering voter registrations of State party choice; i.e.: 88% of Maryland registered Republicans were shown as Democrats. | ||
| Where rigged ballot counting is effective is when incumbents choose their challengers. This can be done to seek weak or under-funded candidates to save contributions for harder general elections. Rigged counts of opposition party ballots allow them to choose their target for November general elections. Without mechanisms for recount verfication of validated elections, it is literally impossible to prove fraud. Until now! However, in conversations about elections with Maryland voters, many complain that when attempting to vote they are told, "they already did." Or, in some cases, they are denied voting because their registration indicates: they are; (1) opposite sex, (2) registered as Democrats, and (3) in the wrong precinct. | ||
| During an early evening meal at a local Pub, a conversation about voter fraud in Maryland erupted into several interesting confessions. This encounter between several patrons at a Bowie Applebees and a favorite for the Comptroller seat was just before Maryland's 2008 primary. One guy said he was denied voting Republican because he was registered as a Female Democrat - we all told him we didn't need to verify. Another said he was told he had already voted - most Republicans are told that. | ||
| I suggested they all seek absentee ballots in the future. However, my absentee ballot never showed up after that brief meeting. One reason and one reason only. At the far end of the bar sat Maryland 's Election Commission's IT-guy as the patch on his red jacket attested before he removed it and sat on it. Other registered Republicans verified that they didn't receive their ballots either. Wants to really make you want to pay taxes, doesn't it! Twenty-two States have illegal governments. | ||
| Strategy for such fraud is clearly that an incumbent Democrat can make special arrangements for lower vote counts than opponents in early stages to then show improvements in acceptance for three important factors: (1) increased contributions for incumbents , (2) GOTV is much easier for second than first or third, and (3) voters are distracted from seeking recounts. And, it's always beneficial for incumbents to have a challenger with money to pay for counter-advertising to keep incumbents in the news. It obfuscates reporting voter count on election night and goes to recounting excuses before challengers realize the fraud that could take two or three days to "verify" - yah. Call me about Australian preferential voting... | ||
| Since the government cannot provide accurate, reliable accounting at polling sites, then it is incumbent upon our party to assure we have several Republican monitors at each polling site to record numbers of voters and to assure a paper trail for confirming that count within three hours of closing that poll location reported not earlier than +10 GMT. This can easily be accomplished using paper overlays on flat screen, electronic notbooks and portfolio laptops that can read handwritting, thus providing trust with verification using replication not duplication or substitution. 2009 has to be our most legitimate election in history for our currency to revalue as Global standard as well as America's reputation to create Democracy. | ||
| Our least alternative would be to demand our Federal Election Commission create a National Ballot for President and Vice President that is not subordinate to a State Election Commission without 100 percent verification not more than 2 hours after Pacific Coast polls close including Alaska and Hawaii, but not any of our U.S. Territories. Our best solution is using online voting systems with credit card security (16 character passwords): user ID and one-time use password for each election (primary/preferential caucus and general elections). | ||
| Finally, rigorous scrutiny to assure that voters who are English literate, citizens of our nation are energized to prevent special interest preference denying that of "We The People" wanting to create wealth and promote founding values with opportunities to pursue Happiness as promised in our "Bill of Rights". | ||
